DESCRIPTION:This 3-Day Online/Live Private Training of Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy™ takes students on a journey to explore the neuroscience behind what is happening in the play therapy process\, how to repattern a child’s nervous system\, and what it means to become an external regulator in the playroom. Participants will also learn how to effectively work with parents and what it means to create a neuroception of safety allowing both the child and the parent to have a deeper integration. SUMMARY:Six-Day Synergetic Play Therapy Intensive - Fort Collins\, Colorado
DESCRIPTION:The Six-Day Synergetic Play Therapy Intensive allows you to jump in and really experience the magic of Synergetic Play Therapy! We hold these intensives regularly throughout the year\, limiting this program to four people in order to permit extensive skill practice with individualized coaching and feedback. Each participant will be paired with a child client with whom they will work every day during the training under direct supervision as part of a therapeutic observation team. SUMMARY:SPT and EMDR: Three-Day Workshop - TO BE RESCHEDULED
DESCRIPTION:This training will be rescheduled … we’ll share as soon as we have the new dates/times.  \nHave you completed Basic EMDR training? Then come experience it with an SPT-twist! \nIn this workshop\, therapists will have a one of kind experience exploring the basic components of play therapy from a neurobiology perspective as they get introduced to Synergetic Play Therapy and learn how it applies to the EMDR process with children.  Through didactic and experiential teachings\, participants will learn cutting-edge research on neural anatomy\, mindfulness\, attachment theory and brain development as the research is translated into practical ways of working with children and parents.  Participants will gain an understanding of the Adaptive Information Processing Model (AIP) in EMDR as it relates to Synergetic Play Therapy. \nParticipants will also learn what it means to attach to one’s self as the cornerstone for all healing\, the importance of congruent emotional expression in the playroom\, how to identify types of dys-regulation in the playroom\, how to model regulating activities to the client\, how to talk to and involve parents and ultimately how to re-pattern a child’s nervous system through the play therapy process.  Aggressive play will also be covered from the perspective of nervous system regulation\, attunement\, and mindfulness.  Finally\, participants will also learn how to track a client’s changes in a simple\, yet comprehensive way. \nThis is a three-day workshop. SUMMARY:Synergetic Play Therapy Certification Program 4-Day Online Retreat (Boulder\, Colorado)
DESCRIPTION:This 4-Day Retreat is part of the 10-Month Synergetic Play Therapy Certification Program. The Certification Program is open to those who have completed either the Six-Day Synergetic Play Therapy Intensive\, the Online Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy course\, or the Synergetic Play Therapy Supplemental to a 2-Day Training. If you have completed one of these and are interested in moving towards certification\, please see the details below or get more information here.  \nAre you a Masters-level (or equivalent) therapist or clinician ready to take your Synergetic Play Therapy skills to the next level? With 87 hours of content\, the Certification program propels you on a journey of inquiry about how healing truly occurs in the playroom. You will learn about nervous system activation re-patterning and how integration occurs in the mind-body. You will study in-depth the projective process and the mind\, perceptions and memory\, interpersonal neurobiology\, and will have a transformative understanding of attachment theory. But this isn’t the best part of this training. The best part is what happens to YOU! This program is designed to not only help you learn how to facilitate your child client’s healing\, but also teach you about yourself\, what drives you to be who you are\, and awaken your own authenticity … absolutely PRICELESS!!!! \nThe course begins with four days together in community (this year we’ll be offering the first retreat online). Halfway through the course\, we will reconvene for an additional four and a half days.  During the program (with the exception of December and January)\, the course will be conducted twice a month via live webinar. The Certification process includes six one-hour supervision sessions (after concluding your introductory course) and nine one-hour supervision sessions during the course with an SPT Supervisor for a total of 15 supervision hours. These sessions are designed to help you integrate and deepen your learning. \nPlease note: Completion of The Online Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy course\, the Six-Day Synergetic Play Therapy Intensive\, or Synergetic Play Therapy Supplemental course to a 2-day training is required for acceptance into the Certification Program.
