DESCRIPTION:Join Lisa online for a 2 hour workshop September 25 hosted by Play Therapy United Kingdom (PTUK) on Co-regulating with Caregivers: Becoming an External Regulator for Caregivers in Play Therapy. \nThe caregivers of our play therapy clients play a pivotal role in the play therapy process.  Learning to involve them successfully requires a specific skill set often overlooked in the training of play therapists.  This workshop is designed to teach you how to become a caregiver’s external regulator\, the most essential foundational skill necessary to begin to partner effectively with caregivers.  Topics such as the steps for how to co-regulate with a caregiver\, working with emotional flooding\, and caregiver resistance will be explored. \nObjectives: \n\nDiscuss what it means to become a caregiver’s external regulator\nExplore what caregiver resistance is and what it is not\nDiscuss the significance of identifying emotional flooding within the caregiver and with the play therapist\n\nStay tuned for more details.
