NScience: Play Therapy with Pre-Teens and Teens
May 3 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm MDT
This workshop is intended to support play therapist’s understanding of how to work with pre-teens and teens with the assumption that the play therapist has a foundational understanding of play therapy.
Play Therapists will learn the importance of attunement and authenticity with this population, allowing them to demonstrate relationship and rapport building skills. They will also learn how to access their client’s emotional age helping them to better assess and conceptualize the play therapy and treatment process, articulate and explain the play therapy process to the parents/caregivers and develop play therapy treatment goals and plans that are congruent with both their own theoretical orientation and the child’s needs.
This is an online event that is open to the public, please visit the organizations website for additional information. If you would like your organization to receive training in Synergetic Play Therapy, please contact the Institute at info@synergeticplaytherapy.com.
