Lisa will be speaking at Naropa’s Passing the Torch alumni event, an event dedicated to giving graduates a chance to connect, network, and develop professionally.

Her workshop is on: The Need for An External Regulator During Traumatic Play.

Without the ability of the therapist to become the external regulator for the intensity that arises during trauma play, both the child and the therapist are at risk for high levels of nervous system dis-regulation.  This can significantly impact a therapist’s longevity in the field, as well as the ability to stay present and attuned. This presentation explores how to facilitate the integration of trauma in children (and adults) in the playroom.
